Configuration

Meliorat is highly configurable. Every feature can be enabled or disabled individually, and most gameplay changes can be adjusted to better fit your modpack or server.

Note

  • Some configuration changes require restarting the game or server to take effect.

Modules

These settings enable or disable entire Meliorat features.

Clock

Controls how placed clocks behave.

Value Effect
true Clock updates through four different states during the day.
false Clock becomes completely static after being placed.

Tipped Arrows

radius

Default: 3.0

Controls the radius of the lingering potion cloud created when a tipped arrow lands.

Range: 1.0 - 3.0

durationSeconds

Default: 5

Controls how long the lingering potion cloud lasts.

Range: 5 - 30 seconds

Cauldron

honeyBottlesRequired

Default: 3

Number of honey bottles required to create a honey block in a cauldron.

Range: 2 - 3

slimeballsRequired

Default: 3

Number of slimeballs required to create a slime block in a cauldron.

Range: 2 - 3

Sniffer

snifferArchaeologyChance

Default: 0.20 (20%)

Chance for a sniffer digging action to produce an archaeology-related item.

Range: 0.0 - 1.0

Examples:

  • 0.0 = Disabled
  • 0.20 = 20% chance
  • 1.0 = Always succeeds

Minecarts

minecartSpeed

Default: 12

Maximum speed of all minecarts except furnace minecarts.

Range: 8 - 64 blocks/second

Default: 12

Maximum speed of furnace minecarts.

Range: 8 - 64 blocks/second

Warning

  • Extremely high values may cause visual desynchronization or other unexpected behavior.

Wooden Tools

woodAxeExtraLogChance

Default: 0.25 (25%)

Chance for wooden axes to drop an additional log when breaking logs.

woodHoeCompostChance

Default: 0.15 (15%)

Chance for an offhand wooden hoe to increase a composter by an extra level.

Triggers consume 1 durability.

woodShovelFlintBonus

Default: 0.10 (+10%)

Additional flint drop chance when using a wooden shovel on gravel.

woodenShovelCampfireBoostTicks

Default: 60

Campfire cooking progress added by a wooden shovel.

Equivalent: 3 seconds

woodenHoeCampfireBoostTicks

Default: 100

Campfire cooking progress added by a wooden hoe.

Equivalent: 5 seconds
